Military Clothing – A Glimpse of the Future
The amount that military clothing has changed in the last two centuries is almost inconceivable but many believe that military clothing is set for a new revolution as combat clothing is created to help deal with an increasingly technological age.

It is impossible not to notice the ways in which war has changed over the centuries and military clothing has had to adapt to the new rigours that are placed upon it by the ever changing conditions of war. What is abundantly clear, however, is that military clothing, far from reaching a plateau, is actually set to be revolutionised in the not too distant future as many commentators believe that military clothing of the future will incorporate many forms of technology that will strive to make the role of army infantry increasingly safer and provide a more responsive and applicable form of military clothing to dovetail with their environment. As with much military clothing, it is the United States that appear to be forging ahead with plans to make future incarnations of military clothing more suitable for the likely changes in the ways in which wars are likely to be fought in the future and the advancements that are set to be made in military clothing are expected to be fairly radical.

Military Clothing – Looking at the Battlefield of the Future
It is clearly apparent that no one can accurately assess what the future holds in terms of warfare but it is easier to envisage what is in store for military clothing so far as technological advancements are concerned. For example, many leading experts in military clothing believe that the use of nanotechnology in military clothing is a step which isn’t too far away and the benefits that this could potentially have seem numerous, such as improving the overall safety and effectiveness of military clothing within a battle environment. The majority of the advancements that are anticipated for military clothing in the future are expected to be largely based on improving the protection that military clothing offers to the army personnel who wear it in the arena of war.

Military Clothing – Adjusting to the Climate
One of the major steps forward that military clothing is expected to take in the future is in terms of being able to adjust to environmental conditions on the fly. Military clothing experts are busy formulating a form of micro climate system that can be installed within various facets of military clothing and then provide either warmth or cooling as required depending on the conditions with which the soldier finds themselves.
